Last post was August. ha
I'm so bad at these!
Christmas came and went.... new year's too. This year I "resolved" to not take on other people's crap, to say no more often, to work harder, to not stress, to spend more time with my family, and to take care of my health. My health has gone down the tubes in the past year. So, thanks to some great advice I started a cleanse and started taking digestive enzymes. The cleanse has been going ok. I'm on day 7 of 10. Wow, I didn't realize how far into it I was. It was only on day 6 that I actually felt somewhat normal in the morning. I just need to keep it up and see how it goes. Then I can wait two weeks and do it again. I think there's a lot of junk in my body that's crying to get out! I'm poisoned. And I do not want to get cancer. It may be too late, maybe not. Maybe we can't avoid it, but maybe.... just maybe we can. So I'm going to gamble on it and try my best to do the things that are recommended for not causing cancer in your body.
Why cleanse? I felt awful. And I mean, awful. I could hardly sit comfortably, let alone think of laying in bed and being miserable. My stomach hurt, even to touch. It burned. It was bloated. I was miserable!
The digestive enzymes are helping me break down all the foods I eat. I have been eating much better also. Not perfect, but better!

If you don't take care of your digestive system you are in trouble!
I'm not a professional... I'm learning everyday.
Here's some information on how important your digestive system is, and how some of the symptoms you may be feeling may be related and perhaps what to do.

Weekends
Like most people, weekends are my most favorite times.....
Last Sunday the kids and I went to my parents house for supper. After we ate my brother and I headed to a grocery store on the hunt for something yummy to eat with our tea for dessert. My brother is seriously one of the funniest people I know. The things he says sometimes just strike me as hilarious. So, going cake shopping was funny stuff. It was definitly a tough choice (as seen below):
I love homemade cakes and things better than store bought... but this was a quick fix... Don't they look delish though? We decided on something a little simpler:
That's really all I have to talk about at this point. It's late and I had a really great day at my sister inlaws. I'll write about that tomorrow. I think I may have found an older, second hand sewing machine. Picking it up on Monday. Once I figure it out maybe I'll be able to alleviate the feeling in my chest of wanting to make things!!!!

Wow Summer
The end of summer is almost here. The weather has been exceptional this year. It's almost unreal. The last few summers have been drab.... lots of fog and rain. But this summer has been great! I dread the end. School is only a few weeks away and then it's only weeks from then that you can count on fall......
Today was spent with the kiddies and my mother, who needed a day out! :) We hit the playground first thing this morning, followed by yardsales, Frenchy shopping, a nice drive and the beach. We also picked up some new mums ready to bloom in a few weeks. Aside fromt the flowers the biggest find of the day was finding 8 inexpensive, perfect condition shirts for C for school for only $8. Awesome.
The kids and I baked cookies and then it was bedtime. phew. What a day! Hubby's gone with the boys for the weekend to play baseball. It's weird to not have him around all day long.
Time to watch a movie solo, resist the cookies and get some zzzzz's to be alert for the beach tomorrow!

Randomness
I like to do things at random. I also love to plan things. I guess it's more talking about things at random that I enjoy. I always start blogs and stop writing.... then promise to write again..... let's see if this will last.
Today my daughter (my youngest - 3) B called me sweetheart. It was one of the cutest things she has done to date.... Me: "B it's time to get out of the car." B: "Ok, sweetheart." -- insert smile here. I think she was pretty impressed with herself.
My work can sometimes be very demanding, and I may sometimes complain to hubby about it at the end of the day, but really I enjoy it. I love my career and what I do. I love finding the right homes for people.
I'm feeling rather cosy tonight. I haven't done much after putting the kiddies to bed. Maybe that's why! :)
I did research on antique bottle and record players.... I think I've scored an oldie on the cheap, record player that is. I'm going to pick it up Saturday afternoon before taking the kids to a playdate in town. I hope it's as cute as it appears. mmmmm old stuff.
